The Value of Tweets, Shares and Checkins

Social actions – such as tweets, shares and checkins — provide marketers with a certain value, as do the users behind those social actions.

Not all social sites are created equally, though, according to new infographic that looks at the value of social users and actions.

For example, on Facebook, each user is worth $118.34 — on Twitter, that number is $71.43, and on Instagram, it’s $18.52.

Furthermore, while one Yelp review is worth $9.13, it takes more than 8,000 tweets to add up to $10. Yelp reviews are the most valuable social action out of all the other channels, as one might suspect. And a Facebook share is valued in at $0.024.
